Add domain to AMS Admin
Before pointing your domain name, be sure that the domain name has been added to the AMS Admin. On your settings page, toggle the custom domain ON and then click the button to set custom domain:
In the popup that appears, enter your domain name and click save:
Point the A record and www
To point your domain, at your registrar:
- Point A record to 126.96.36.199
- Point www to your domain (yourdomain.com)
- Remove any other forwarding for your domain name that may interfere with the A record
The changes should take effect in just 1-2 minutes. You can test by entering your domain in your browser's address field:
It should take you to your coming soon page or the AMS error page (click here for an example).
If your domain name is not pointing to AMS after a few minutes, test to see if your domain is pointing to 188.8.131.52. Click here to go to whatmydns.net and enter your domain name and click Search:
If everything is pointed correctly, you should see green checkboxes like this:
If it's not pointed correctly, you'll see something like this:
